Shake Things Up with Our Virginia Spirits Month Cocktails
We have good news and bad news. The bad news: Virginia Spirits Month is officially over so you no longer can get your hands on these one-of-a-kind cocktails at Casa del Barco. The good news? We’re sharing the recipes with you so that you can recreate these at home. Give them a go and let us know what you think!
Vitae Mai Tai
2 oz Vitae Golden Rum
½ oz Orgeat syrup
½ oz Bols Orange Curacao
¾ oz fresh lime juice
1 lime wedge
1 sprig of mint
Combine rum, Orgeat, orange curacao and lime juice in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously.
Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with lime wedge and sprig of mint.
1 ½ oz Commonwealth Gin
1 oz fresh lime juice
1 lime peel
1 lime wedge
Combine gin and lime juice in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into glass filled with fresh ice. Top with soda water and stir lightly to form a frothy head. Garnish with lime peel and lime wedge.
Cold Brew Mule
4 dashes of Jamaican Ginger Bitters
IBC Cream Soda
1 edible flower
Combine cold brew moonshine and Jamaican ginger bitters in a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain over fresh ice in a copper mug & top with cream soda. Stir lightly and garnish with 1 edible flower.
